About us
Mission
We want to share a piece of cultural history from Österlen, as it used to be in Österlen.
In concrete terms, this means that we offer close-to-nature and small-scale accommodation with a focus on well-prepared and locally produced food.
We want to work for a living countryside and coastline in Österlen.
Our environmental work
There is only one Mother Earth, so we invest in active environmental work at our hotel. This means that we work with, among other things, the following things that come from the UN’s global goals agenda 2030.
- Training of staff on environmental and sustainability issues
- Encouraging guests to contribute to a more sustainable hotel
- Active efforts to reduce water and energy consumption
- Focus on reducing the environmental footprint of chemicals
- Purchasing food with a focus on sustainability
- Focus on waste reduction
We encourage our guests to contribute to more sustainable development.
- We offer electric car charging
- We encourage guests to use the towels as long as possible to save on detergent and water consumption.
- We encourage guests to contribute to reducing food waste by taking smaller portions at the breakfast buffet, but picking up more times instead.
- We encourage guests to turn off televisions and lights when not in use.
Adapting our daily hotel operations to contribute to more sustainable development
- We use as few suppliers as possible to optimize transport.
- We use nature-friendly cleaning products based on orange oil.
- We recycle and work to reduce food waste.
- We buy local produce - more fish and white meat, less red meat.
- The hotel is built to be energy efficient and has a high recovery ventilation system.
